What areas of life will it cover?
Discrimination would be unlawful in Belize in everyday public life:
- Employment – at my job
- Education – at my school
- Government – in the policies that affect me and state services I use
- Goods and services – where I shop and do business
- Clubs and Associations – where I socialize
- Accommodation – where I live and go on holiday
When asked if it’s time for laws that protect everyone and reflect Belizean society at our best, 9 out of 10 people agreed. It is clear that there is a desire for laws that prevent discrimination against anyone: it’s time to do this, it’s time to be our best.
