About the BNN

The Belize Network of NGOs (BNN) is the unified voice of NGOs in Belize. The BNN seeks to promote good governance to achieve sustainable human development through advocacy, open and effective communication, and active participation in reforming our system of governance.

Our objectives for the campaign

The Bill appears to no longer be on the political agenda since it was first proposed in 2019. The BNN has consulted its membership, and we agree that this legislation will benefit all of the groups that we represent. We are therefore committed to promoting understanding of how the bill will protect everyone from discrimination and to see it passed into law.

This Belize Wi Redi! campaign is aimed at starting the public and political conversation again, to make sure we don’t lose this opportunity to secure comprehensive equality legislation that will enhance equality of opportunity and respect for us all.
